    I had this done in 2005 and it was not painful and the scars are pretty much gone. It was covered by insurance, I think paid $748.00…… I was a 44F and now am 44C, the Dr. took out 6 lbs of tissue. It was the best thing I have done for myself.

    @trufiend138 I’m a surgical nurse who has had a breast reduction and I have worked with many plastic surgeon in the OR and in office. A plastic surgeons mission is to ultimately help the patient look and feel better about themself through plastic surgery whether it is medically necessary or not. A breast reduction in many cases is medically necessary and in those cases insurance will most likely cover it. The dr is supposed to help their patients not judge like it seems that you would.

    I had a breast reduction a year ago. I swear it was the best thing that I have ever done! The recovery time was not bad at all, I was back to work in about two weeks and the scars really aren’t that bad. I would recommend it to anyone who has large breast that cause pain and that can not be reduced from weight loss. I was a 36 G and went down to a 36 D on a 5ft 2in frame it was such a relief!

    SURGERY (BREAST REDUCTION) can be a great choice! The most important thing is to find a surgeon that is qualified, experienced and that you feel comfortable with. The other important decision is making sure this is what you want. Also, I think it helps to wait until they stop growing. You are trading scars for perkier and better shaped boobs. Surgery can help with the pain and discomfort associated with large breasts. It can be a great decision, just make sure you are ready.

    @zylcho I don’t know where you got your information but it’s from an old wives tale. i know hundreds of women – myself included – who recovered beautifully (and nursed) after the MOST COMMON surgery women have internationally… do some homework… breasthealthonline

    @zylcho I don’t know where

  22. x0xShortyJessx0x says:

  23. photoartist3d says:

    Have any of the ladies who have had this process had boyfriends whom didn’t want the reduction done?

  24. ijwbl032 says:

    I had this done when I was 15 (I am now 17). Best decision I have ever made. True, I still have scars, but they are greatly fading, it was all worth it. I do gotta say, it’s terrifying seeing what they did to me…

    breast and reduction
    two words that should never go together
